Dysport is one of our most requested treatments — and for good reason. It is FDA-approved, fast-acting, and when done well, the results look completely natural. Here is what you should know before your first appointment.

What is Dysport?

Dysport is an injectable containing botulinum toxin type A. It temporarily relaxes the facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles — the lines that form from repeated expressions like squinting, frowning, and smiling. It does not freeze your face. It softens the movement just enough to let the skin smooth out.

Five things Dysport does well

1. It works quickly. Most clients see results within two to three days. Full effect is visible by one week.

2. The results look natural. Dysport has a slightly wider diffusion pattern than some other neuromodulators, which gives it a softer, more blended result — particularly in the forehead and crow’s feet areas.

3. It lasts. Results typically last three to four months. Many clients find that with consistent treatment, their results extend over time.

4. There is no real downtime. The appointment takes 10 to 20 minutes. You can return to your day immediately. We recommend avoiding intense exercise and heat for 24 hours after, but that is it.

5. It treats more than wrinkles. Dysport is also effective for hyperhidrosis — excessive sweating — and can be used in multiple areas beyond the face.

What the appointment looks like

We start with a brief consultation to discuss your concerns and goals. We apply a topical anesthetic if needed, then make precise, small injections into the target muscles. The whole process is fast and well-tolerated.

Done correctly, Dysport should leave you looking like yourself — just more rested.

If you are new to injectables or have had treatments elsewhere that did not look the way you wanted, we are happy to talk. A consultation is always the right starting point.
